Trimas dgn penganjuran yg telah di buat oleh famsy. semoga league ini leh diteruskan dari tahun ke tahun.
league yg telah dibuat saban bulan or minggu dapat membawa satu mesej yg kuat mengenai islam yg syumul. islam bukan hanya di masjid, di majlis tahlil, atau time bulan ramadhan sahaja. tapi islam itu di mana2 dan bila2 masa pun.

Mesej yg kuat ini diharapkan boleh memecahkan kepompong kesempitan islam yg mungkin selama ini kita pegang. ibadah itu bukan merangkumi hanya lima rukun islam, tapi merangkumi seluruh aspek kehidupan kita. seperti mana yg diajar oleh nabi kita Muhammad saw. Dia menunjukkan kpd kita teladan yg sgt baik dari bangun tdo sampailah kita nk tdo blik..sume adalah islam. Cara manakah (cara hidup) yg kita nk ikut? tokoh mana kita nk sanjung? identiti apa yg kita nk bawa?...semoga sume ini membawa kita kpd insan yg lebih baik

Alhamdulillah, walaupun kami tak dapat merangkul gelaran juara F2L musim 2008 ni, namun, kami tetap pasukan tak terkalah. Bukan senang nak kekalkan status tersebut dalam 7 perlawanan. Allah Maha Berkuasa....Kita merancang namun Dia menentukan. Minggu akhir ini merupakan detik yang sukar dilupakan. Ahli White Roses kebanyakannya ditimpa musibah kali ini. Fakhri dan Firadaus mengalami kecederaan. Nazer, Sharul dan Wan tidak dapat bersama kerana ada urusan yang tidak dapat dielakkan. Namun, dengan kehadiran Zulfadli dan pemain import dari Clayton Destiny, Al-Hambra dan Westside Labourist, White Roses akhirnya dapat meneruskan perlawanan.

Tahniah kepada Afiq dan Zaini. Teruskan usaha pada musim depan....InsyaAllah, we can do it.

Alhamdulillah, we still manage to secure our top spot eventhough without a few key players. It is indeed a not-so-good day for the camp but everyone had shown a true spirit and discipline. Congratulation to shabab and freedom fighters as well. After all, i'm satisfied with the performance and see u soon, Al hambra and White Roses.

First of all I would like to urge myself and my friends to say istighfar upon Allah S.W.T. Astaghfirullahala’zim. Because there might be any disobedient action occurred during the game. I also urge myself and my friends to make istighfar for any divergence of pure intention or any injuries and troublesome or neglecting of remembering Allah occurred among all of us. May Allah forgive us and give us rewards for any efforts we have put during the game. May every little tear dropped might be a reason for our fraternity upon Allah S.W.T.

I also would like to seek apology from the organizer for a bit confusion regarding signing up new players.

Like what a Malay riddle said, “win or loss that’s a custom of the game”. Ces’t la vie. But what more important was the lesson we grabbed from the game.

For example, I purposely invited a non-malay mate and another friend of him to play for my team. I let him be the striker as that was his favourite position. And he managed to score several goals. Several question might intrigued from our heart if we are really observe the way he played. How many of us really see how he played with lots of skills being showed even though he just the odd on the pitch? What make the way he played differs from the way we played?

The answer for this was merely the determination. Determination was set by the brain. And we could have self-control of our brain. With determination our efforts and energy could be concentrated towards one goal and any barricades in front of it can be easily overcome. This is the spirit that we should have especially we as a Muslim.

During the resting interval, how many of us care to have a brisk chat with him or if not, dare to say hello to him. Or just put a warm smile on him for the least effort we can do. But he just left alone and seems to find someone to talk. Come on brothers we are a university student at the top 20 best university in the world. How could we have a perception to just mingle within our community till we really did not bother for the people outside our circle? We spend about 3 to 6 years overseas to study but our perception was still the same as what we were before we set abroad. This was kind of wasting. We should build up our mind and characteristics in lined with what have been destined for truth and eternal.

Dear brothers,

We are living in the real world. The reality is reality. And the book of Holy Qur’an is a reality. So, we have to live with the reality in corresponds with what have been citing in the Qur’an. Allah said in surah al-Hujurat versus 13:

“O mankind, indeed we have crated you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another...”

So, we should open up our mind and mix with other people outside our circle. Use the opportunity of our availability at overseas to know as much people as we can. This does not mean when we get to know new friends we forgetting the old friends. Instead, we should build a stronger relationship with the old friends.

That’s all from me. Apologize for a long comment. May the league might bring us closer together and every effort we put on it be the reason of our fraternity in front of Allah.

Kepada pengurus-pengurus pasukan F2L, sila ambil perhatian...

Penerusan perlawanan bagi F2L adalah pada Sabtu ini (11 Oktober 2008) pada jam 9.00 pagi hingga 12.30 tengah hari, bertempat di Turf (Melbourne University)....

Pada kali ini, setiap kumpulan akan bermain 2 perlawanan, tidak seperti sebelum ini, hanya satu perlawanan. So, this is a good news....:D

Jadi, persiapkan diri kalian... Fizikal dan mental.
Latihan petang akan diadakan pada setiap Rabu dan Jumaat petang, bermula jam 5.15pm.

PARIS — A record number of Muslim stars will lead the twice crowned European champions France in the 13th European football championship, Euro 2008, which starts Saturday, June 7.

The 23-man squad of Les Bleus (the nickname for the French soccer team) will feature nine Muslim players.

Leading among Muslim stars is Germany's Bayern Munich right-sided winger Franck Ribery.

The 25-year-old Ribery is known for supplicating to God before the game kickoff.

"Islam is the source of power for me inside and outside the football field," Ribery has said.

"My life was hard enough and I had to find something to take me to safety and I found Islam."

Ribery's reversion to Islam, which was leaked in 2006, was first noticed during France's opener against Switzerland in the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

The blue-eyed boy of the French soccer fans started his playing career at his home town club US Boulogne and then moved to Alès, Brest and FC Metz in consecutive seasons.

A second Muslim soccer star, Eric Abidal, will also appear in French colors in Euro 2008.

The 29-year-old Barcelona defender reverted to Islam five years ago and named himself "Bilal".

Abidal, who was considered one of the best fullbacks in the French league, says his Muslim faith encourages him to spare no efforts to serve his team.

"I embraced Islam in full conviction," Abidal, who is married to an Algerian woman, has told Paris Match magazine.

Beliau merupakan pengadil bola sepak pertama Mesir yang menghentikan perlawanan untuk menghormati laungan azan solat tanpa bertanya terlebih dahulu kepada pegawai perlawanan daripada Persatuan Bola Sepak Mesir. Siapakah yang begitu berani ini? Dirinya terkenal dengan akhlak mulia di dalam maupun di luar padang. Beliau merupakan pengadil , Al-Hakam Muhammad Ass-Sayid.

Tanpa ragu-ragu untuk dikatakan bahawa perangsang utama ketika aku menghentikan perlawanan semasa laungan azan adalah kerana aku seorang muslim yang beriman kepada Allah swt dan sangat mengetahui bahawa maksud lafaz “Allah Maha Besar” adalah Allah Maha Besar dalam segala perkara yang kita lakukan lebih-lebih lagi jika perkara itu tidak memberikan kesan sampingan yang ketara pada tubuh pemain kerana aku pernah terlibat dalam mengendalikan latihan pasukan bola sepak. Berdasarkan pengalamanku, penangguhan perlawanan selama 2 minit tidak akan memberi mudarat kepada otot-otot pemain seperti yang disangka ramai pihak kerana otot tidak akan menyejuk kecuali selepas berhenti selama 15 minit.

Aku telah menghentikan banyak siri perlawanan sepanjang tugasku mengadili perlawanan Liga Profesional dan selalunya semasa azan solat Asar disebabkan kebanyakan perlawanan diadakan pada waktu siang. Ramai pemain menyambut tindakan ini dengan hati yang terbuka dan sebahagiannya mengucapkan terima kasih dan mengharapkan semua pengadil bola sepak bertindak seperti ini. Begitu juga para penyokong yang bertepuk tangan sebaik sahaja perlawanan diteruskan semula menandakan kegembiraan mereka. Ini kerana kita semua hidup di negara Islam dan ini bukannya tindakan peribadi tetapi penghormatan kepada salah satu daripada syiar agama Allah swt.

Perkara pertama yang aku lakukan sebelum pergi menjalankan tugas sebagai pengadil perlawanan ialah memohon restu kedua ibubapaku. Aku duduk bersama mereka dan meminta supaya mereka mendoakan supaya aku dianugerahkan hidayah semasa membuat sesuatu keputusan. Aku tidak akan keluar kecuali setelah mereka benar-benar redha kepadaku dan tidak marah walaupun sedikit . Perkara yang sama aku lakukan kepada isteriku dan anak-anak. Ini membantuku mengurangkan perasaan gemuruh sebelum sesuatu perlawanan.

Semasa aku berada di dalam bilik persalinan stadium pada hari perlawanan, aku mengumpulkan semua keperluan pengadilan seperti wisel, kad dan butiran perlawanan sambil membaca ayat Kursi dan 3 Qul (surah Al-ikhlas, al-falaq, an-nas). Setelah itu aku membaca doa Nabi saw:

اللهم اكفيني بما شئت و كيف شئت إن الذي فرض عليك القرآن لرادك إلى معاد

Ya Allah cukupkan lah diriku dengan apa yang kau hendaki dan sebagaimana kau hendaki.

Sesungguhnya Allah Yang mewajibkan kepadamu (beramal dan menyampaikan) Al-Quran (Wahai Muhammad) sudah tentu akan menyampaikan Engkau kepada apa Yang Engkau ingini dan cintai.

Sebelum melangkah masuk ke dalam padang perlawanan aku membaca ayat Kursi sekali lagi dan ayat suci Al-Quran:

“ Dan mohonlah (Wahai Muhammad dengan berdoa): “Wahai Tuhanku! masukkanlah daku ke dalam urusan agamaku dengan kemasukan yang benar lagi mulia, serta keluarkanlah daku daripadanya dengan cara keluar yang benar lagi mulia; dan berikanlah kepadaKu dari sisiMu hujah keterangan serta kekuasaan yang menolongku”(Al-Israa: 80)

Al-Qur’an yang mulia tidak pernah sekali-kali berpisah daripada diriku. Ia adalah sebahagian daripada barang-barang asasi yang perlu aku bawa bersama dalam bagasi perjalanan. Aku juga sentiasa memastikan Al-Quran kecil berada di dalam poket bajuku kerana dengannya aku menenangkan diri semasa perjalananku menuju ke sesuatu perlawanan bola sepak. Tugas pengadil perlawanan lebih sukar berbanding hakim mahkamah kerana dia perlu memutuskan sesuatu secara spontan dan segera berbeza dengan hakim mahkamah yang memiliki masa panjang untuk membelek-belek semula kertas-kertas mahkamah sebelum mengeluarkan apa-apa keputusan mahkamah. Maka sudah pasti akan berlaku beberapa kesilapan semasa pengadil mengendalikan sesuatu permainan. Manusia tidak pernah bebas daripada kesalahan.

Aku juga banyak menghabiskan waktu dengan mendengar siri-siri ceramah Syeikh Mutawali Asy-Sya’rawi dan bacaan Al-quran oleh Syeikh Mahmud Al-Khusori. Selain itu aku juga mengikuti rancangan televisyen Ustaz Amru Khaled yang merupakan seorang pendakwah contoh. Beliau memahami keperluan masyarakat dan mengemukakan penyelesaian praktikal dan kesedaran kepada masalah ini. Di samping itu, aku turut menggemari bacaan Islam seperti Riyadus Salhin (kitab hadis karangan Imam Nawawi) dan kisah-kisah para nabi a.s.

Team Bunga Tanjung recently suffered crisis of insufficient players and management problem. So, Boards of F2L had held a meeting to discuss about this matter.

We have come up with:

1. New manager was appointed since Zahidi (former Bunga Tanjung Team manager) had explained to us the reason he couldn't lead the team. However, he is still in the team and he will assist the new manager. He has 2 years of experience as an F2L team manager. New manager = Faiz Fuazi.

2 Apparently, the team lacks of players. So, transfer of players from the other teams had been done. The details:

Arif Hamzah from Team Al-Hambra (30K pts)
Abang Ikhwan from Team Al-Ahly (30K pts)
Ihsanuddin from Team Clayton Destiny (15K)

They are now officially affiliated by Team Bunga Tanjung.

3. The team players list has been updated. Please refer to the list for more information.

4. Loan can be made just before the match begins, but must be done via Fikri. Please let him know even if your team desperately needs to do it without him around. This is crucial.

5. Referee of the match will be informed via this website at least 24H from the match day. The persons chosen are encouraged to be professional on field.

After moving from France’s Monaco for 10 million euros, talented midfielder Toure made it clear that practicing Islam, including fasting, does not affect his successful soccer career.

He was named by Eurosport in 2005 as one of the most promising young players in the world.

Compatriot defenders Abidal and Thuram are also playing for the 2006-07 runner-up and a twice winner of the UEFA Champions League.

Abidal, a former Lyon player who signed last season a four-year contract for FC Barcelona for 15 million euros, is known for being an observant Muslim.

He has been photographed many times carrying a copy of the Noble Qur’an at his training kits.

No Contradiction

The league’s last season winner Real Madrid was adamant to let its Muslim midfielder and the backbone of the royal team Mammadou Diarra fast during Ramadan.

But both sides have finally reached an agreement preventing Diarra from fasting only in match days.

Frederick Kanoute, the French striker of Seville FC, the 2006-07 league’s third and the holder of last season’s cup championship, has ridiculed suggestions that fasting might affect his performance.

“Those who know Islam understand that fasting empowers and does not weaken the Muslim.”

Kanoute proved his point last season after being crowned the league’s top scorer with 20 goals, outperforming football legends such as Brazilian Ronaldinho.

This has convinced his club not to pressure him on his religious beliefs, according to the ABC daily.

Kanoute, a practicing Muslim who regularly performs his prayers even in the locker room, refused last season to wear a jersey advertising for an inte gambling site, because gambling is forbidden in Islam.

His team had to give him a brand-free jersey until he accepted wearing the sponsored jersey in return for money to an Islamic charity.

MADRID — Malian Muslim footballer Frederic Kanoute, the striker of Spain's Seville FC, has saved the only mosque in the southern Spanish city of Seville from closure.

Kanoute has paid 510,860 euros (some $700,000) so that fellow Muslims in Seville would not find themselves without a mosque, reported Agence France-Presse (AFP) Thursday, December 13.

The privately owned mosque was due to be sold after a contract to use the premises by the local Muslim population had expired.

But Kanoute stepped in to purchase the building.

The 30-year-old striker has not made any comment on the matter.

But city authorities have confirmed that the property has been registered in Kanoute's name, according to the BBC Sport.

It is estimated that Kanoute has spent almost a year's salary to buy the mosque.

Kanoute, , one of the finalists for the 2007 BBC African Footballer of the Year award, moved in 2005 from French champion Lyon to Seville FC, the 2006-07 Spanish league's third and the holder of last season's cup championship.

Grateful

Spanish Muslims said they really appreciate Kanoute's moving gesture.

"If it had not been for Kanoute then we would not have had a mosque on Fridays, which is the most holy day of the week for Muslims," a spokesman for the Islamic Community of Spain was quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

Kanoute, who has also created a foundation in his motherland Mali to help orphans, reverted to Islam 10 years ago.

Sports in Islam

Features of sports in Islam are many. In fact, many Islamic obligations include physical activities in addition to spiritual activities and ways of straightening behaviour. Prayer, for example, is a spiritual purification as well as motions for the body. Hajj also involves physical effort in its various rituals. So do visiting fellow Muslims and the sick, and walking to mosques. All kinds of social activities in Islam can be considered to be a physical exercise of the body and a way to strengthen it, as long as these activities are done moderately.

Among the sports that the Prophet, peace be upon him, played are the following:

1. Running. It was a form of training for traveling, jihad, seeking provision, etc. It was reported by Ahmad ibn Hanbal that the Prophet raced Aishah and she outran him. Then they had another race where he outran her, whereupon he said, "This time makes up for the other."

2. Horsemanship and horse racing. In Sahih Muslim it is reported that Allah's Messenger said, "Ride horses, for they are the legacy of your father Ismail (Ishmael)."

3. Archery. A number of hadiths show that this sport was popular among early Muslims. Uqbah ibn Amir said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah saying while he was on the pulpit, 'In the verse, [And make ready against them all you can of power, including steeds of war], the word power means archery; the word force means archery.'"

4. Fencing. Arabs knew a sport by the name niqaf, which is in fact the origin of fencing as known today. One of its forms was a special dance that the Prophet witnessed being done by Abyssinians inside a mosque. This niqaf refers to some movements being performed with arrows. In a narration reported by Abu Salamah, those Abyssinians were playing with their spears.

5. Wrestling. The Prophet wrestled with a number of men, one of whom was Rukanah ibn Abd Yazid ibn Hashim ibn Abdul-Muttalib, who lived in Makkah and was a skillful wrestler. (Al-Hakim, Abu Dawud, and At-Tirmidhi).

6. Swimming. As-Suyuti reported that Abu Al-Qasim Al-Baghawi narrated on the authority of Ibn Abbas that the Prophet and some of his Companions once swam in a stream. That day, the Prophet said, "Let everyone among us swim towards his friend." The Prophet himself swam towards Abu Bakr until he embraced him saying, "Here I am and my friend" (see Al-Zurqani's comment on Al-Mawahib Al-Ladunniyyah, vol. 1, p. 194).

Waterfront, Geelong: Tanggal 8 September 2007 tidak akan dilupakan oleh semua individu yang turut serta sama ada secara langsung atau tidak dalam friendly yang julung-julung kalinya diadakan di padang The Swimming Circle’s. Perlawanan yang dihadiri bintang-bintang baru dari kedua-dua belah pihak ini di saksikan lebih dari 50 penonton yang telah berada di sana sebelum perlawanan bermula lagi. Rata-ratanya asyik menyaksikan keindahan pemandangan laut di petang hari yang di samping sekali sekala mencuri pandang melihat ke gelanggang perlawanan yang terletak di antara mereka dan laut. Namun kualiti perlawanan dan profesionalisma pemain tidak menghampakan mereka. Masakan tidak, pasukan Geelong Cats yang mempunyai kelebihan homeground hampir pulang hampa disebabkan youth spirit yang digarap atas persefahaman sepasukan telah meletakkan pasukan Melbourne Tigers jauh di hadapan dengan kedudukan 4-1 menjelang 10 minit terakhir separuh masa pertama. Namun, berbekalkan pengalaman dan kematangan pemain-pemain pasukan Geelong Cats, mereka akhirnya berjaya mengawal keadaan dan seterusnya menjuarai test series pertama dengan agregat 5-4. Syabas dan tahniah di ucapkan kepada pasukan Geelong Cats dan Melbourne Tigers yang pemain-pemainnya datang dari kelab-kelab terkemuka di F.F. League.
