Perlawanan ditunda

Assalamualaikum wbt,

Perlawanan F2L untuk hari Jumaat, 24 Rabiul Akhir 1428 bersamaan 11 May 2007, ditunda kepada hari Ahad (13 May 2007). 3 perlawanan akan dimainkan pada hari Ahad di Stade de Prince Parc. Perlawanan 25 (ECC vs AA), 26 (MU vs JL), dan 27 (FFC vs EH).

Jadual perlawanan baru adalah seperti berikut;

• 2.30 pm - Muslim United vs Jewell Legends
• 3.30 pm - Fiducia FC vs El Haitham
• 4.30 pm - El Cid Campeador vs Asadul Aswaad

Hari Ahad ini juga akan diadakan sesi fotografi untuk semua pasukan F2L. Diharap semua pemain dapat turun ke padang pada masa yang ditetapkan. Kemaskan diri anda, mandi tengahari, sikat rambut, gosok gigi dan pakai pakaian rasmi team. Sesi penggambaran akan dilakukan oleh jurugambar professional, separa professional dan juga amatur.

Player of the Week 1

After a long deliberation by the board of managers to vote for F2L's Player of the Week, we had made our decision. It was a tough call and it was not easy trying to select an outstanding player among a pool of extraordinary talent. It is like looking for a diamond in a field of snow. But, we did manage to put all our efforts together to vote for one player. There were a number of candidate for the award and are all equally good. However, the contribution of this person to the league as a whole is much greater and he certainly is a personification of F2l's motto; Play Anywhere, Play as a Muslim. We present to you, F2L Player of the Week :

Name: Mohd Hilman Akil
Degree: Fourth Year Mech. Eng.
Address: Manallack Street
-Present in every match
-Very helpful in setting up the pitch
-Prioritize team although did not get any run
-Gave 100% when given the opportunity to play

Hilman won the award by one point. It was a photo finish, with all the other shortlisted candidate trailing Hilman closely behind. Here are the results of the vote:

Hilman Akil - 15 points
Nazri Abdul Kahar - 16 points
Fakhri MOE - 17 points
Firadaus - 20 points
Azlan Ayub - 22 points

When the shortlisted candidate is presented to us, we voted, individually, giving the players a number from 1 - 5, with 1 being the most preferred. The sum of all the votes are calculated and the player with the least points win.

Worth mentioning are the shortlisted candidate;

Nazri Abdul Kahar - dedicated and committed in his attendance and his role on the field, stands out even though he is a defender. Controls his emotion well, motivates his team mates.

Fakhri - performance as a striker, played whole heartedly and tries his best in every match. Among the earliest to arive.

Firadaus - highly motivated, tries hard to come early eventhough his classes finishes at 4.30. Highly committed given his architectural workload.

Azlan Ayub - discplined, a major presence on the field. Played well and consistent in his performance. Can make or break a game.

Message from the Board of Famsy Footbalitis League

Assalamualaikum warahmatullah wabarakatuh.

May everyone is in the protection and blessings of Allah s.w.t. and let us pray that Allah will keep us in the path of Islam and its truthfulness.

Here, we are on the verge of the season’s end. This league has been an attraction to most of the people here in Melbourne and surprisingly our web count has reached more than 5000. Unexpected nonetheless, but we are grateful that everyone is giving their best to make this league a success.

Alhamdulillah up to this end, we have seen vast commitment and undeniable passion from all of the players involved in this league. From the beginning we have seen players developing their skills, taking the opportunity to inherit valuable experiences from others or invent new skills for their own benefits.

Aside from all the excitements and passion we have been through, lest we forget the objectives of this league, which could only be achieved side by side, with brotherhood. To build up a close relationship and to instill brotherhood among the players is the first thing we should bear in mind as long as we are in this league. This comes with respect together with sportsmanship be it on the field or out of the field. Care and humility is another aspect we should never put aside albeit our position in the standing has crowned us the best. Here, the board is keen to invite all players to put aside all the foul plays, harsh languages and all those unislamic ethics either on the field or not.

In coherence with our theme, ‘Play anywhere, play as a muslim’, it would be an honor to ourselves to serve this league as appropriately as a muslim would. May we all remember the presence of the two malaikat at all times with us and may Allah put in us the fear of the hellfire. Ameen.

In reaching the end of the season, we; The Board of Famsy Footballitis League, would like to wish everyone the best of game, and pray all the best for the coming examination. May Allah retain us in His blessings and the ni’mat of Iman and Islam.

"I have a few gripes about the game in general. We've been winning a lot lately and to lose a game after a streak of winning is really bitter. Hopefully we won't have to experience this again. I have high hopes for this game because, i believe, we were controlling the game. Attacking and defending well, but for a split second slip in concentration we were punished by them. We need to constantly be on our toes against the strike pair of El Haitham's stature. Well, ruing a missed chance won't do us any good. This will serve as a lesson for us."
